Oki Pie - Playtime
After conducting several workshops for financially struggling families and schools with limited art supplies, this playtime app was designed as a brainstorming tool for caregivers and educators to think of creative play activities based on their needs and reverse engineered from material resources they may have available. The first version of this app used AI and was designed on Playlab, which offers free access to educators. However in many schools and home environments, AI tools were either not welcome or not accessible due to token restrictions. This particular Lovable app runs on a database of 1000 activities natively, and does not use generations. Oki Pie Playtime is a play activity generator designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, and kids discover creative, hands-on activities that fit their real-life situation.

Learning Goals
The app encourages children to explore open-ended, imaginative play using everyday materials. Activities are designed to build creativity, fine motor skills, social cooperation, sensory awareness, and independent problem-solving. The library spans quick spark activities for short bursts of energy through longer project-based play for deeper engagement. Inclusive tags like Sensory-Friendly, Low Vision, Fine Motor Friendly, and Limited Mobility ensure every child can find something that works for them.
How to Interact
Start by choosing what materials you have on hand. You can pick one or several from the list, or choose No Materials if you need something that requires nothing at all
Pick how much time you have. Options range from a quick spark under 15 minutes, to a full session between 15 and 45 minutes, to a longer project of an hour or more
Choose who is playing. Options cover solo or pair play, a small group, or a larger gang
If any inclusive play needs apply, select those tags to filter for activities that fit
Choose how many ideas you want (1 to 5)
Tap Play. You will see a set of matching activities!
If none feel quite right, tap Shuffle to get a fresh set. Tap Change Filters or Try Again at any time to start over.
