Learning Goals

Space Boba is designed as a mood check-in and emotional literacy tool. The core learning goals are helping users recognize and name their current emotional state across four dimensions, practice translating internal feelings into external language they can share with others, and build the habit of emotional self-reflection before conversation. For younger users and workshop participants it also builds vocabulary around feelings in a low-pressure, playful context.

How to Interact

There are four sliders: Joy, Energy, Calm, and Connected. You drag each one left or right to reflect how much of that feeling you're experiencing right now. As you move them, Space Boba responds in real time: the colors of the sphere shift, the aura glows brighter or dimmer, the character's expression changes, and a mood name appears. Once you've set your sliders, tap "Share your Reflection with a Friend" which copies a natural language sentence summarizing your mood to your clipboard, ready to paste into a text, share out loud, or use as a conversation starter.

Symbolisms

🔮 The Sphere represents the self, round and whole, always rotating to remind us that moods are never fixed or permanent.

🌼 Joy slider goes from 🟣 deep purple (inner feeling, quiet joy) to 🟡 bright yellow (outward radiance, full expression).

🍏 Energy slider goes from 🟢 muted forest green (low, resting) to 💚 vivid lime green (activated, alive).

☁️ Calm slider goes from 🔵 deep navy blue (still, heavy, deep) to 🤍 near-white ice blue (open, clear, spacious).

💖 Connected slider goes from 🩶 flat gray (isolated, withdrawn) to ❤️ vivid red (warm, present, close to others).

✨ The aura glow represents emotional intensity. The more dialed up your sliders, the more the glow radiates outward, reflecting how our feelings affect the people around us.

🥹 The kawaii face keeps it approachable and non-threatening, signaling that every emotional state is welcome here.

🌌 The dark space background is intentional. Emotions exist in a vast open universe and there is room for all of them.
